Project Challenge
Combining an offshore remote team with the client’s organic team. Moreover, working as part of a team in existing projects as well as leading new projects with various internal clients was the basic challenge of this project. One of the main projects is transferring the old SAP Data Warehouse to SAP’s most advanced on-promise technology, the SAP BW/4HANA. The project is part of a multiannual plan during which the two data warehouses are maintained and developed in parallel, until the old data warehouse is completely scrapped.
Our Solution
The first decision was to work in gradual implementation and development process on SAP BW/4HANA in the organization by realizing new projects only on the new platform. At the same time, gradual converting and redeveloping (according to a need/decision) of the existing models, following an ordered usability and future needs analysis.
Our course of action was using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) as a reporting and dashboard platform over the SAP BW/4HANA, with live connection functionality. Also training a layer of analysts/key users in the organization who will be able to independently develop reports and dashboards for their own units.
